i just found your blog a few days ago and have since spent the better part of my free time perusing the months and months of sweet and sour goodness you have posted. i got through about the last 2 years before i even thought to look for the rss feed (truthfully, i thought about it right away, since i was hooked so quickly, but i was too busy digging through everything to bother clicking on it and instead left the site open for 3 days...im not sure if i should be embarrassed to admit that or not. take it how you will.) all in all, i really love your writing and i just wanted you to know that you are now officially on my rss watchlist and i can't wait for more of your posts to fulfill my empty palette.
almost makes me want to start a photo-blog...

But I do like a tall good looking scottish accent - and in answer to your question - it sounds different from a stumpy one because of the doppler waves. When the sound is coming from someone taller, and wearing a suit, the sound waves squish up to fall gently upon one's ear bones. You've got to know to understand. Tall fish like you, fishboy, probably won't ever experience it.

Anyway.. I'm back from sunny Queensland! It was hot & I saw big spiders, lots of lizards, a cane toad, bazillions of green-arsed ants, colourful & very noisy birds, and - of course - FISH! Lots and lots of amazing fish!
So, that's what I did on my holidays. Oh, and I got horribly sunburnt. Youch.
You'll have to come next time so I can bore you with descriptions of sea creatures *s*
